Dahlan Iskan, the Director of PLN (a state-owned enterprise providing electricity) has an idea to provide free of charge electricity for the needy. He counted that this program will increase loss up 1,5 quintillion rupiahs.

However, this loss is able to be covered by the increase of basic tariff of electricity (tarif dasar listrik / TDL) for wealthy consumers. The increased tariff for wealthy consumers is predicted to generate profit up to 15 quintillion rupiahs. In other words, PLN plans to formulate cross subsidy between its customers.

It will be opened for applicants who want to be student in our campus for the 2010/2011 academic year. Our faculty provides three ‘A-accredited’ departments, which are Management, Economics and Accounting.
